Subject: Upcoming
Events
Our next event is the Amador Vintner's Behind the Cellar
Door being held on Saturday and Sunday, February 9th & 10th,
2008. Contact the Amador Vintner's at 209-267-2297 for
tickets and more information.
Harvest is over, the wine
is in the barrels doing their thing and there is a nip in
the air. The Grape Vines have shed their leaves and
have gone to sleep for their long Winter nap. Before
long Spring will be here and they will again start to wake.
In the tasting room we now have most and soon all of the
2006 wines available. They show 2006 was a good year
with good fruit flavors, including ripe and cherry and
blackberry flavors. The Zinfandel again has that
recognizable peppery finish that the Zins are known for here
in the foothill areas of the old Mother Lode. Be sure and
stop by when in the area and check out all of the new
vintages.
Our annual winemakers
dinners are coming up in mid March and early April.
Stay tuned for more info.
August of last year we had a successful bottle your own
wine and intend on having a repeat of that again. We have
a red wine blend that we will be making available
for a very reasonable cost. You may bring
your own bottles or purchase them at the winery. More
details will be sent to you later along with
prices and instructions for advance reservations. We
also plan on providing a pasta lunch to be included.
