Subject: Upcoming
Events
Our next event is the Amador Vintner's Behind the Cellar
Door being held on Saturday and Sunday, February 14th & 15th 2009. Contact the Amador Vintner's at 209-267-2297 for
tickets and more information.
We are very sorry to
announce that we lost our winery dog Hannah. She left
us in July 20th of this year. She is very much missed
by all of us and especially her daughter Lucky. She
had many problems including Addison's disease, a leaky heart
valve, high blood pressure, kidney disease and very bad
arthritis. She was 13.
We have a new dog to keep
Luck company. His name is Blue, is 7 years old, and is
also a Blue Weimaraner like Hannah was. He is such a
sweet dog and he is also making a hit in the tasting room,
as well as giving Lucky a run for her money. He has
much energy. Blue came from a home in Santa Maria
where his owners needed to find a home for him. He is
a welcome addition to our Winery.
We also have started a B &
B otherwise know as a Bed and Breakfast. Although we
do intend serving breakfast we are trying to get people to
think of B & B as Bed and bottle. We are still in the
permitting process with Amador County. Hopefully we
will be operating by the holidays. We will have three
units eventually. Contact us for rates and
availability.
Our annual winemakers
dinners are coming up in mid March and early April.
Stay tuned for more info.
August of last year we had a successful bottle your own
wine and intend on having a repeat of that again. We have
a red wine blend that we will be making available
for a very reasonable cost. You may bring
your own bottles or purchase them at the winery. More
details will be sent to you later along with
prices and instructions for advance reservations. We
also plan on providing a pasta lunch to be included.
